ShopRite Supports Summit’s Making a Difference Community Day

ShopRites of Springfield and Chatham partnered at Summit’s Making a Difference Community Day, to honor fallen Police Detective Matthew Tarentino. ShopRite donated hot dogs and water to be given out at the event, and our store managers and dietitians interacted with the community with a nutrition-based prize wheel and free healthy samples. It was a perfect day to thank local patrons for their commitment to their community.

Last year, Village Food Rescue donated over 1,100,000 Pounds of food to local food pantries

ShopRite of Springfield is proud to participate in the Village Food Rescue Program. This program salvages food from our store that is safe for consumption but is ineligible for retail sale. Last year, we were able to donate over 1,100,000 pounds of food to local food pantries to help address their critical needs for fresh and healthy foods.
